What are General Structural Surveys and Specific defect reports?

General Structural Survey Report – The Structural Engineer visually inspects the entire property to assess the structural condition. If there are any structural problems, the structural engineer will provide their recommendations for sorting them out. Sometimes, intrusive testing would be required to provide an appropriate solution method, which would be recommended in the report.

Specific defect report – The Structural Engineer would visually inspect and assess one area of concern, such as cracks on walls, subsidence, or timber decay within a property.
