For most of the projects, initially Architectural plans were created and then we applied for Certificate of Lawfulness from Local Authority to confirm the works falls under Permitted Development. In some cases planning applications were necessary as some of the properties were within a conservation area.

Most of the clients wanted lots of storage area, Large Skylights and lots of natural light into the Loft space. Some clients wanted Juliette balcony too which provided provided the sense of bringing the outdoor within the newly created space.

Our Structural Engineers were involved early on to design the steels, roof joists and any other necessary supports.

People gets frightened hearing party wall agreements and notices, but from our experiences it is just a process you have to start quite early on your project.

Our in-house party wall surveyors handles these matters quite early on and if party wall agreements are required they are sorted well before starting the construction.
